INGREDIENTS: distilled water, ginger root extract, palmitoyl oligopeptide (and) palmitoyl tetrapeptide-7, palmitoyl tripeptide-38, rosehip seed oil, pomegranate seed oil, evening primrose oil, hydroxyethyl acrylate (and) sodium acryloyldimethyl taurate copolymer, tocopherol, lactobacillus ferment, fragrance, phenoxyethanol

INGREDIENTS EXPLAINED:

Ginger Root Extract: Ginger root has excellent anti-aging properties due to its ability to almost completely inhibit collagen degradation through the inhibition of the enzyme collagenase. It facilitates the maintenance of protein levels in the dermis and also skin flexibility. It also acts as an antioxidant and anti-inflammatory.

Palmitoyl oligopeptide (and) palmitoyl tetrapeptide-7: This active contains two peptides that work together synergistically to mediate cutaneous restructuration and repair, giving skin a more youthful appearance.

Palmitoyl tripeptide-38: Helps to reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles by stimulating collagen synthesis.

Rosehip oil: Rosehip seed oil has loads of antioxidants and unsaturated fatty acids, so it is very anti-inflammatory. In this formula, it is present as an emollient and anti-inflammatory active.

Pomegranate seed oil: Pomegranate oil boosts collagen production, enhances skin elasticity, reduces the appearance of scarring, promotes the reversal of skin damage, and leaves lasting moisture without leaving a greasy residue or clogging pores.

Evening Primrose oil: Evening primrose oil contains loads of linoleic acid, which is an omega-6 fatty acid that promotes skin health by reinforcing the skin barrier, preserving water in the epidermis and regulating sebum production.

Hydroxyethyl acrylate / sodium acryloyldimethyl taurate copolymer: This ingredient is the gelling agent for the serum. It is a Hydro-Swelling Droplet (HSD) form of emulsifier, and is used for cold emulsions, in which no ingredients are heated during the formulation of the product.

Tocopherol: Tocopherol is Vitamin E, and acts as a preservative in this formula, preventing the oxidation of the oils in the product and increasing the shelf life.

Lactobacillus ferment: This ingredient is a preservative, and is responsible for preventing the growth of bacteria, mold, fungus, yeast, etc.

Fragrance: This is the scent that is added to the product. Fragrance oil manufacturers are not required by law to disclose what compounds are in their fragrance oils. However, some will tell you what is NOT in their fragrance oils, and I base my fragrance oil purchases on this information. I make sure my fragrance oils are free of phthalates and known carcinogens. Because fragrance may be a source of irritation in a product formula, I offer all my products fragrance free as well as scented.

Phenoxyethanol: This ingredient is a preservative, and is responsible for preventing the growth of bacteria, mold, fungus, yeast, etc.
