INGREDIENTS EXPLAINED:
Grapeseed oil: Grapeseed oil is another fast-absorbing, non-greasy oil. It is also a good oil for combo/oily skin, as it won’t cause breakouts either. It has a high concentration of antioxidants and unsaturated fatty acids. It is present in this formula as a fast-absorbing emollient.
Jojoba oil: Jojoba oil is a lightweight, fast-absorbing oil with a structure similar to that of sebum, which is produced by the skin. It is a great emollient to use in formulas for oily/combo skin because it won’t cause breakouts. In this formula, it is present as a fast-absorbing emollient.
Watermelon seed oil: Non-comedogenic oil with anti-inflammatory properties.
Ginger Root Extract: Ginger root has excellent anti-aging properties due to its ability to almost completely inhibit collagen degradation through the inhibition of the enzyme collagenase. It facilitates the maintenance of protein levels in the dermis and also skin flexibility. It also acts as an antioxidant and anti-inflammatory.
Ginkgo Biloba Extract: Extract containing flavonoids and terpenes from ginkgo whose action in cells includes antioxidant, anti-inflammatory, and cell regenerative activity. This extract has been demonstrated to mediate reductions in allergic reactions and general inflammatory responses in skin.
Hydroxyethyl acrylate / sodium acryloyldimethyl taurate copolymer: This ingredient is the gelling agent for the serum. It is a Hydro-Swelling Droplet (HSD) form of emulsifier, and is used for cold emulsions, in which no ingredients are heated during the formulation of the product.
Lactobacillus ferment: This ingredient is a preservative, and is responsible for preventing the growth of bacteria, mold, fungus, yeast, etc.
CoQ10: Coenzyme Q10 is a fat-soluble substance present in every cell of the human body. It serves as a coenzyme vital to production of energy within cells. It is also a very powerful antioxidant or free radical scavenger. Coenzyme Q10 is encapsulated in liposomes also containing vitamin E and vitamin C to maintain activity, enhance skin penetration and potency. Accompanying vitamin E and vitamin C are needed to activate coenzyme to its active state.
Tetrapeptide-21: When collagen breaks down, it forms specific Tetrapeptides that tell your skin that it was damaged and needs to make new collagen. So by applying Tetrapeptides topically, your skin believes it has lost collagen recently and needs to make more. It activates collagen production which helps to reduce wrinkles and also stimulates the repair and renewal mechanisms of the skin.
Tocopherol: Tocopherol is Vitamin E, and acts as a preservative in this formula, preventing the oxidation of the oils in the product and increasing the shelf life.
Fragrance: This is the scent that is added to the product. Fragrance oil manufacturers are not required by law to disclose what compounds are in their fragrance oils. However, some will tell you what is NOT in their fragrance oils, and I base my fragrance oil purchases on this information. I make sure my fragrance oils are free of phthalates and known carcinogens. Because fragrance may be a source of irritation in a product formula, I offer all my products fragrance free as well as scented.
Phenoxyethanol: This ingredient is a preservative, and is responsible for preventing the growth of bacteria, mold, fungus, yeast, etc.

This product is one of my favorites! I normally order unscented products, but the orange scent is so good and doesn’t bother my skin one bit. Please make it in a 2oz bottle.
