INGREDIENTS: distilled water, behentrimonium methosulfate (and) cetearyl alcohol, horse chestnut extract, stearamidopropyl dimethylamine, aloe vera, lycopene, panthenol, monoi butter, black castor oil, tocopherol, gluconolactone (and) sodium benzoate, polyquaternium-10, fragrance, EDTA

Behentrimonium methosulfate (and) cetearyl alcohol: Cationic self-emulsifying wax & quaternary conditioner consisting of 75% cetearyl alcohol and 25% behentrimonium methosulfate. This is the emulsifier in the formula. Emulsifiers are the compounds that keep the oil and water phases of the product homogeneously mixed by binding hydrophilic (water soluble) moieties with one part and binding hydrophobic (oil soluble) moieties with the other. It provides excellent conditioning and detangling effects and superior wet combing.

Horse Chestnut Extract: Whole plant extract that fatt contains fatty acids, proteins and short-chain sugars that can help repair hair damaged by dyes, hair dryers and chemical treatments. It is used in haircare because it does not cause any buildup on hair.

Stearamidopropyl dimethylamine: This is a cationic surfactant that conditions the hair due to its cationic nature (leaves a positive charge on hair). It prevents static buildup, conditions hair, and also increases the formula’s viscosity.

Aloe Vera: Moisturizing ingredient that promotes scalp health and shiny hair.

Lycopene: Extracted from tomatoes, this lycopene is a potent antioxidant and also helps to enhance hair’s elasticity, thus increasing its strength.

Panthenol: Panthenol is able to penetrate hair easily and adds moisture and shine. It also helps to reduce split ends.

Monoi butter: Butter infused with tiare flower that moisturizes, adds shine, protects hair, and protects from breakage.

Black Castor Oil: Black Castor Oil is castor oil in which the castor beans are roasted prior to extracting the oil, resulting in an oil with a higher pH that attaches to the hair shaft more readily. Black castor oil helps to promote hair growth, moisturize dry hair, strengthen weak/damaged hair, and prevent split ends.

Tocopherol: Tocopherol is Vitamin E, and acts as a preservative in this formula, preventing the oxidation of the oils in the product and increasing the shelf life.

Gluconolactone (and) Sodium benzoate: This is the main preservative in this formula. It prevents the growth of bacteria, mold, fungus, yeast, etc.

Polyquaternium-10: PQ10 is a thickening quat conditioner that adheres easily to hair and provides superb wet combatibility, good manageability & curl retention.

EDTA: EDTA is a metal ion chelator. This means that it scours the solution for metal ions, and once it finds them, it binds them very tightly, which makes them no longer a danger. Metal ions are highly reactive molecules that can cause oxidative damage to proteins, lipids, and DNA in cells. They are known to cause allergic reactions in skin, and generate inflammation.
